New 2010 Volkswagen Saveiro Pickup Truck for South America

The first official photos of the new Volkswagen Saveiro pickup has revealed. The car has been designed and built only for the South American market and will be built in Brazil. The 2010 VW Saverio become the main rival to pickups such as the Chevrolet Montana and Fiat Strada.

The new Saveiro will be powered with a four-cylinder flex-fuel engine that will do duty and provide two different power outputs depending on its fuel source. The 1.6-litre VHT (Volkswagen High Torque) full with petrol makes 74kW (101hp) while filled with ethanol produces a slightly advanced 77kW (104hp).

It will be available three model levels, a 1.6l (base), 1.6l Trend and 1.6l Trooper. The 1.6l is the most prime workhorse and skin unpainted bumpers and very minimal interior adorn. Its sole purpose in life is to work. On a senior glassy is the Trend which comes with features like body colour-oblique bumpers. Some may even go as far as calling it a contents car with elegance. Top of the extend is the Trooper type which is meant at younger, active people and it is more specified.
